CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a class of fatty acids produced by animals that is naturally found in beef and dairy products. Although CLA plays an important role in a number of cellular metabolic processes, humans are not able to produce CLA and therefore can only obtain it from the diet. Since CLA is generally more abundant in grazing animals, changes in agricultural practices have resulted in less CLA in our foods, decreasing its availability in modern diets. Therefore, using a CLA supplement is recommended to obtain desirable levels of CLA for its optimal effects. NOW® CLA is derived from non-GMO safflower oil and delivers 800 mg CLA per softgel. CLA promotes benefits body composition and weight loss is through a few different mechanism. It helps in increasing fat-burning while limiting the amount of body fat that can be stored, all while preserving muscle.

Suggested Usage

Take 3 softgels daily with a meal. Store in a cool, dry place after opening.

This was my first bottle of CLA ever. I took one pill, once a day and noticed a difference in the way my body handles carbohydrates. What stinks is that I wasn't consistent in taking the pills BUT yet I noticed a difference. The main change I've seen is my weight doesn't fluctuate like it did before. With the CLA, I am encouraged to eat better. My husband started taking it too. We finished the bottle and have ordered another (more potent). I'm confident I would have seen better results (on the scale) if I'd taken 2 pills a day consistently (I'm horrid in remembering to take pills). My fingers are crossed w/this next bottle.I didn't give it 5 stars because I didn't take 2 pills a day, 2x's a day as directed. And yes, I would buy this again.

Pills are 1000mg per capsule with 800mg of cla per capsule... For those reading other reviews that are not true. Pills are big and may be hard to swallow. Suggested dose is 1g per meal 3x per day. Making it 3G per day. I've also read that taking 3.5g per day is what is needed for that needed boost.
